2010: We want more....and less.

2009 was a great year at GuitarAttack World Headquarters. We experienced many ups and downs, but overall things worked out pretty well for the entire crew. If there is one thing we’ve learned in 2009, it is to appreciate what you have instead of dwelling on what you don't have.

However, there are a few things I do hope to see more and less of in the coming year. And yes, I realize there are times when the word "fewer" should be used instead of "less" but this is my rant/observation so I ask that you grammar gurus give me a break.

In 2010 I would like to see...

... more time at home with my wife.

... more time with my son.

... more people creating jobs in the United States.

... more tax cuts for people who actually pay taxes.

... less conflict around the world.

... more events like the Chick-Fil-A Bowl.

... more Indian food.

... more time in my old Corvette.

... more chicken and salads on my dinner plate.

... less burgers and fries my dinner plate.

... more winning seasons for Big Orange football.

... more local musicians playing out.

... more guys like Les Paul.

... more inventors like Edison and the Wright Brothers

... less reliance on our government

... more local music success stories.

... more inspiration to write more songs.

... more hard work to write more songs.

... less mistakes during recording.

... more heroic stories about Soldiers, policemen and firefighters.

... more conversations with my brother.

... less stories about Tiger Woods.

... more dedicated school teachers like my Mother.

... less rhetoric and more action by politicians.

... more time spent playing guitar.

... more Christmas lights.

... more guitar magazines to read.

... more road trips.

... less time watching TV.

... more time out running 5Ks.

... less “filler” acts at Bonnaroo.

... more “killer” acts at Bonnaroo.

... less time spent piddling on this computer.

... more social events in the US like those great local fests in Germany.

... more local money raised to fight Alzheimer's and cancer.

... more friends like the ones I had in high school.

... more talks with my parents.

... more funding for middle school and high school music programs.

... less haggling by the school board and county commission.

... less bailouts.

... more lunches with friends.

... more anniversary trips with my wife.

... more wins by the Titans.

... more evenings spent grilling on my back deck.

... more boys in Boy Scouts.

... less hollering at our dog.

... less sports scandals involving steroids.

... less UT athletes getting arrested.

... more opportunities to play guitar.

... less violence in nightclubs.

... more charitable giving at the local level.

... more churches focused on their local community.

... more time spent with my family.

... more of God's blessings for everyone this year.

And finally, an unsuccessful year for Lane Kiffin at USC.

Have a great 2010 and keep checking back!
