Completing a Sunlight Inspection

With all of the routing and drilling complete, I decided to complete a "sunlight inspection" on the guitar.

Having been cloistered in the basement for a while now, it would be good to see what the guitar looks like in the light of day.

Here is the top with all of the holes drilled.   More sanding is required, but overall the wood looks really nice.
Other than the big knot on the back, the wood's grain is really pretty.

Note - Look how much lighter the neck is than the body.  Keep this in mind with mahogany -- there are many varieties and some are much redder than others.  Both the neck and body are Honduras Mahogany, but the color is different.
