Installing the Frets

Using the centerline (again), I drilled a series of 1/4# holes to insert the position markers into.  Nothing fancy here -- straight holes with a little glue.  The 1/4" abalone markers came from Stewmac.com.

Once the position markers were in, Once the fingerboard was properly shaped, it was time to press the frets in.  Using the Stewmac.com fret press on my Delta drillpress, I pressed the frets into the rosewood fingerboard.

I rough-cut the frets and filed the edges.   The shape and crown would not come until the fingerboard was attached to the neck.
My quality control guy, Matthew, checks out the work.  "Not bad...maybe better next time!"
